We live in a world of hate.
We live in a world of intolerance.We need to live in a world of LOVE, ACCEPTANCE and TOLERANCE.
I saw this in front of a memorial for a young gay man who was killed in Manhattan. I was working with my boyfriend. We were holding hands, we had been enjoying each others company.
It got me thinking… More so than normal.
I should not be afraid to hold my partners hand in public. I should not be afraid to kiss him. Nor should I be afraid for his safety when we part at the end of our date… Let alone my own safety.
It’s sickening that we are STILL living in a world where Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, and every other negative “-ism” run rampant.
There needs to be a change. It needs to start with me and it needs to start with you. Hate is learned, Love is ingrained.
